revert: tea 1.0 rewrite (#1122–#1126) (#1146)
Reverts #1126, #1125, #1124, #1123 and #1122. `go.mod` keeps the Go 1.26 line with toolchain `go1.26.9` (instead of the original `go1.26.6`) so the security fix from #1131 isn't lost. reopens #69 reopens #141 reopens #162 reopens #172 reopens #197 reopens #232 reopens #240 reopens #246 reopens #323 reopens #325 reopens #326 reopens #328 reopens #344 reopens #351 reopens #373 reopens #403 reopens #406 reopens #417 reopens #430 reopens #457 reopens #480 reopens #482 reopens #489 reopens #490 reopens #498 reopens #500 reopens #504 reopens #510 reopens #516 reopens #523 reopens #556 reopens #560 reopens #569 reopens #571 reopens #602 reopens #632 reopens #633 reopens #643 reopens #666 reopens #670 reopens #672 reopens #677 reopens #683 reopens #697 reopens #726 reopens #737 reopens #770 reopens #779 reopens #804 reopens #817 reopens #831 reopens #833 reopens #834 reopens #908 reopens #966 reopens #1023 reopens #1029 reopens #1032 reopens #1050 reopens #1052 reopens #1069 reopens #1073 reopens #1087 reopens #1091 reopens #1094 reopens #1110 reopens #1115 reopens #1116 reopens #1118 Reviewed-on: https://gitea.com/gitea/tea/pulls/1146 Reviewed-by: TheFox0x7 <95654+thefox0x7@noreply.gitea.com> |

Because Request.Trailer is a map, each entry incurs memory overhead. For HTTP/2 servers, a malicious client can exploit this by sending a "Trailer" header that declares a large number of fields, causing the server to allocate a disproportionate amount of memory while bypassing Server.MaxHeaderValueCount and Server.MaxHeaderBytes limits. This exploit is not applicable for HTTP/1 servers, which do not support multiplexing a large number of requests over one TCP connection, and whose Server.MaxHeaderBytes are calculated differently. #### Severity Unknown #### References - [https://go.dev/cl/847185](https://go.dev/cl/847185) - [https://go.dev/cl/847314](https://go.dev/cl/847314) - [https://go.dev/issue/81857](https://go.dev/issue/81857) - [https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/U2fTuyDJznI](https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/U2fTuyDJznI) - [https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/ZPwCyRUuGBs](https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/ZPwCyRUuGBs) This data is provided by [OSV](https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-6603) and the [Go Vulnerability Database](https://github.com/golang/vulndb) ([CC-BY 4.0](https://github.com/golang/vulndb#license)). </details> --- ### Root.Mkdir(All) can follow junctions out of the root on Windows in os [CVE-2026-56857](https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-56857) / [GO-2026-6604](https://pkg.go.dev/vuln/GO-2026-6604) <details> <summary>More information</summary> #### Details On Windows, when the target of Root.Mkdir or Root.MkdirAll is a junction pointing to an empty location, the operation can create a directory at the junction target even when that target is located outside the root. If the server rejects the CONNECT request with a non-2xx keep-alive response, Transport returns the connection to the idle pool. Because CONNECT requests do not have a request body, the server may interpret the trailing body bytes as a subsequent pipelined HTTP/1.1 request on the connection, leaving the pooled connection desynchronized and causing the next caller that reuses it to read the response to the injected request. In reverse proxies (including httputil.ReverseProxy) that forward CONNECT requests through a shared Transport, this can lead to cross-user response poisoning. #### Severity Unknown #### References - [https://go.dev/cl/847306](https://go.dev/cl/847306) - [https://go.dev/issue/81740](https://go.dev/issue/81740) - [https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/U2fTuyDJznI](https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/U2fTuyDJznI) This data is provided by [OSV](https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-6605) and the [Go Vulnerability Database](https://github.com/golang/vulndb) ([CC-BY 4.0](https://github.com/golang/vulndb#license)). </details> --- ### Reject malformed ECH outer extension references in crypto/tls [CVE-2026-97031](https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-97031) / [GO-2026-6607](https://pkg.go.dev/vuln/GO-2026-6607) <details> <summary>More information</summary> #### Details Multiple ECH outer extension references are not permitted under RFC 9849; previously, a client could send a well-crafted packet that could trigger memory exhaustion in the server process by specifying multiple references. Since a 2xx response to an HTTP/1 CONNECT converts the connection into a tunnel, the server should not treat the connection as continuing to contain HTTP. The impact of this misbehavior is mostly limited to potential request smuggling, where an intermediate proxy considers the data on the connection to be tunneled and the server considers it to be HTTP. #### Severity Unknown #### References - [https://go.dev/cl/847311](https://go.dev/cl/847311) - [https://go.dev/issue/81744](https://go.dev/issue/81744) - [https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/U2fTuyDJznI](https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/U2fTuyDJznI) This data is provided by [OSV](https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-6613) and the [Go Vulnerability Database](https://github.com/golang/vulndb) ([CC-BY 4.0](https://github.com/golang/vulndb#license)). </details> --- ### HTTP/2 server crash due to HPACK encoder race in net/http [CVE-2026-97032](https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-97032) / [GO-2026-6617](https://pkg.go.dev/vuln/GO-2026-6617) <details> <summary>More information</summary> #### Details HTTP/2 servers could end up crashing due to inadvertently modifying its HPACK encoder concurrently. This happens because the server modifies the HPACK encoder from two goroutines without synchronization: one uses the encoder to encode a HEADERS frame as part of a response sent to a client and the other modifies the encoder's table size when handling a SETTINGS frame containing SETTINGS_HEADER_TABLE_SIZE that a client sends. A malicious client can repeatedly send a request while changing the header table size to crash the server. #### Severity Unknown #### References - [https://go.dev/cl/847188](https://go.dev/cl/847188) - [https://go.dev/cl/847313](https://go.dev/cl/847313) - [https://go.dev/issue/81867](https://go.dev/issue/81867) - [https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/U2fTuyDJznI](https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/U2fTuyDJznI) - [https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/ZPwCyRUuGBs](https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/ZPwCyRUuGBs) This data is provided by [OSV](https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-6617) and the [Go Vulnerability Database](https://github.com/golang/vulndb) ([CC-BY 4.0](https://github.com/golang/vulndb#license)). </details> --- ### Configuration 📅 **Schedule**: (UTC) - Branch creation - "" - Automerge - At any time (no schedule defined) 🚦 **Automerge**: Disabled by config. feat!: rebuild tea on Cobra with explicit noun/verb commands (#1126)
- **switch tea to the Cobra command tree:** `internal/app` wires the packages from parts 1–4 into explicit noun/verb commands with `--repo`, `--json` / `--jq`, `--sudo` and `--debug`; `main.go` points at it. Build, release and docs tooling (`tools/cli-docs`, Makefile, goreleaser, snap, CI) and README / CONTRIBUTING are updated. - **remove the urfave/cli command tree:** deletes `cmd/`, `modules/`, the old integration tests, contrib completion scripts and the generated `docs/CLI.md`, and drops their dependencies. This commit only deletes. ## Breaking changes This is a breaking release. It requires Gitea 28 or newer; configuration moves to separate `config.yml` and `hosts.yml` files and requires fresh authentication, and command names, aliases, flags and output formats change. `docs/migration-1.0.md` maps every old command, flag and environment variable to its replacement. ## Issues fixes #1118 fixes #1116 fixes #1115 fixes #1094 fixes #1091 fixes #1073 fixes #1052 fixes #1032 fixes #1023 fixes #966 fixes #908 fixes #833 fixes #831 fixes #817 fixes #804 fixes #779 fixes #770 fixes #737 fixes #697 fixes #726 fixes #677 fixes #672 fixes #633 fixes #632 fixes #560 fixes #556 fixes #523 fixes #516 fixes #510 fixes #504 fixes #500 fixes #482 fixes #406 fixes #403 fixes #373 fixes #351 fixes #344 fixes #326 fixes #325 fixes #323 fixes #246 fixes #240 fixes #232 fixes #197 fixes #172 fixes #141 fixes #69 fixes #1110 fixes #569 fixes #480 fixes #666 fixes #670 fixes #457 fixes #643 fixes #498 fixes #490 fixes #1069 fixes #834 fixes #602 fixes #328 fixes #417 fixes #571 fixes #1029 fixes #489 fixes #1050 fixes #162 fixes #430 fixes #1087 fixes #683 Reviewed-on: https://gitea.com/gitea/tea/pulls/1126 Reviewed-by: TheFox0x7 <95654+thefox0x7@noreply.gitea.com> |

refactor: add terminal output and forms package (#1124)
- `internal/terminal`: streams and the prompting policy, interactive forms (issue, PR, review, merge, milestone), editor / pager / browser launching, JSON and `--jq` output. - An aligned table renderer and a record renderer for human output; both strip control and escape characters from server-supplied text so titles and bodies cannot inject terminal sequences. refactor: add credential and Git packages (#1123)
- `internal/auth`: credentials in the OS keyring or a private file, OAuth login with token refresh, SSH HTTP-signature signers (key files with passphrase prompt, ssh-agent keys and certificates), and the Git credential helper protocol. - `internal/git`: cancellable Git subprocesses, repository and remote discovery (tracked remote via `branch.<name>.remote`), PR checkout by full ref, AGit push, branch cleanup. Nothing imports these packages yet. Reviewed-on: https://gitea.com/gitea/tea/pulls/1123 Reviewed-by: TheFox0x7 <95654+thefox0x7@noreply.gitea.com> |

refactor: add settings, transport and alias packages (#1122)
Part 1/5 of the tea 1.0 rewrite. **Stack** (split from #1121; each PR targets `main` and builds, tests and lints on its own — the shipped CLI only changes in part 5): 1. #1122 Toolchain and foundation packages ← this PR 2. #1123 Credentials and Git 3. #1124 Terminal 4. #1125 Services 5. #1126 CLI wiring, docs, removal of the old tree ## Changes - **build:** require Go 1.27; bump gofumpt and golangci-lint to releases that can read Go 1.27 export data (own commit). - `internal/clierr`: typed errors and executable exit codes. - `internal/version`: build version and tags. - `internal/filelock`: moved unchanged from `modules/filelock`. - `internal/aliases`: user-defined command aliases. - `internal/transport`: the HTTP client the Gitea SDK runs on (part 4): token, Sudo and SSH-signature auth, retries for safe reads, connect/TLS/response-header timeouts, typed API errors that keep Gitea's message, and a redacted request log for `--debug`; plus raw requests for `tea api`, signed downloads that follow object-storage redirects, and log streaming. - `internal/settings`: split `config.yml` / `hosts.yml` with locked transactions, plus remote URL parsing. Nothing imports these packages yet. Note: `flake.nix` now asks for `go_1_27`; the pinned nixpkgs in `flake.lock` predates Go 1.27 and still needs a `nix flake update nixpkgs`. chore: align go version handling with gitea (#1088)
Aligns Go version handling with gitea, see https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/38559. `toolchain` names the build version, `go` stays the minimum. The renovate extends match the other repos now. `security` is an empty preset, and `go-deps` only fast-tracked the toolchain bump into its own PR, which the weekly group carries instead. fix(deps): update module golang.org/x/crypto to v0.52.0 [security] (#1002)

The key would sign without any confirmation prompt, with no indication to the caller that the constraint was not in effect. NewKeyring() now returns an error when unsupported constraints are requested. #### Severity Unknown #### References - [https://go.dev/issue/79436](https://go.dev/issue/79436) - [https://go.dev/cl/778640](https://go.dev/cl/778640) - [https://go.dev/cl/778641](https://go.dev/cl/778641) - [https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/a082jnz-LvI](https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/a082jnz-LvI) This data is provided by [OSV](https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-5005) and the [Go Vulnerability Database](https://github.com/golang/vulndb) ([CC-BY 4.0](https://github.com/golang/vulndb#license)). </details> --- ### Invoking agent constraints dropped when forwarding keys in golang.org/x/crypto/ssh/agent [CVE-2026-39832](https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-39832) / [GO-2026-5006](https://pkg.go.dev/vuln/GO-2026-5006) <details> <summary>More information</summary> #### Details When adding a key to a remote agent constraint extensions such as restrict-destination-v00@openssh.com were not serialized in the request. Destination restrictions were silently stripped when forwarding keys, allowing unrestricted use of the key on the remote host. The client now serializes all constraint extensions. Additionally, the in-memory keyring returned by NewKeyring() now rejects keys with unsupported constraint extensions instead of silently ignoring them. #### Severity Unknown #### References - [https://go.dev/issue/79435](https://go.dev/issue/79435) - [https://go.dev/cl/778642](https://go.dev/cl/778642) - [https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/a082jnz-LvI](https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/a082jnz-LvI) This data is provided by [OSV](https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-5006) and the [Go Vulnerability Database](https://github.com/golang/vulndb) ([CC-BY 4.0](https://github.com/golang/vulndb#license)). </details> --- ### Invoking byte arithmetic causes underflow and panic in golang.org/x/crypto/ssh [CVE-2026-46597](https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-46597) / [GO-2026-5013](https://pkg.go.dev/vuln/GO-2026-5013) <details> <summary>More information</summary> #### Details An incorrectly placed cast from bytes to int allowed for server-side panic in the AES-GCM packet decoder for well-crafted inputs. #### Severity Unknown #### References - [https://go.dev/issue/79561](https://go.dev/issue/79561) - [https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/a082jnz-LvI](https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/a082jnz-LvI) - [https://go.dev/cl/781620](https://go.dev/cl/781620) This data is provided by [OSV](https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-5013) and the [Go Vulnerability Database](https://github.com/golang/vulndb) ([CC-BY 4.0](https://github.com/golang/vulndb#license)). </details> --- ### Invoking bypass of certificate restrictions in golang.org/x/crypto/ssh [CVE-2026-39828](https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-39828) / [GO-2026-5014](https://pkg.go.dev/vuln/GO-2026-5014) <details> <summary>More information</summary> #### Details When an SSH server authentication callback returned PartialSuccessError with non-nil Permissions, those permissions were silently discarded, potentially dropping certificate restrictions such as force-command after a second factor succeeded. RSA moduli are now limited to 8192 bits, and DSA parameters are validated per FIPS 186-2. #### Severity Unknown #### References - [https://go.dev/issue/79565](https://go.dev/issue/79565) - [https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/a082jnz-LvI](https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/a082jnz-LvI) - [https://go.dev/cl/781641](https://go.dev/cl/781641) - [https://go.dev/cl/781661](https://go.dev/cl/781661) This data is provided by [OSV](https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-5018) and the [Go Vulnerability Database](https://github.com/golang/vulndb) ([CC-BY 4.0](https://github.com/golang/vulndb#license)). </details> --- ### Invoking bypass of FIDO/U2F security keys physical interaction in golang.org/x/crypto/ssh [CVE-2026-39831](https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-39831) / [GO-2026-5019](https://pkg.go.dev/vuln/GO-2026-5019) <details> <summary>More information</summary> #### Details The Verify() method for FIDO/U2F security key types (sk-ecdsa-sha2-nistp256@openssh.com, sk-ssh-ed25519@openssh.com) did not check the User Presence flag. chore(deps): update module golang.org/x/net to v0.55.0 [security] (#1001)
This PR contains the following updates: | Package | Change | [Age](https://docs.renovatebot.com/merge-confidence/) | [Confidence](https://docs.renovatebot.com/merge-confidence/) | |---|---|---|---| | [golang.org/x/net](https://pkg.go.dev/golang.org/x/net) | [`v0.54.0` → `v0.55.0`](https://cs.opensource.google/go/x/net/+/refs/tags/v0.54.0...refs/tags/v0.55.0) | | | --- ### Invoking incorrect handling of namespaced elements in foreign content in golang.org/x/net/html [CVE-2026-42506](https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-42506) / [GO-2026-5025](https://pkg.go.dev/vuln/GO-2026-5025) <details> <summary>More information</summary> #### Details Parsing arbitrary HTML which is then rendered using Render can result in an unexpected HTML tree. For example, ToUnicode("xn--example-.com") incorrectly returns the name "example.com" rather than an error. This behavior can lead to privilege escalation in programs using the idna package. For example, a program which performs privilege checks on the ASCII hostname may reject "example.com" but permit "xn--example-.com". If that program subsequently converts the ASCII hostname to Unicode, it will inadvertently permits access to the Unicode name "example.com". #### Severity Unknown #### References - [https://go.dev/cl/767220](https://go.dev/cl/767220) - [https://go.dev/issue/78760](https://go.dev/issue/78760) - [https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/iI-mYSI0lu8](https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/iI-mYSI0lu8) This data is provided by [OSV](https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-5026) and the [Go Vulnerability Database](https://github.com/golang/vulndb) ([CC-BY 4.0](https://github.com/golang/vulndb#license)). </details> --- ### Invoking incorrect handling of HTML elements in foreign content in golang.org/x/net/html [CVE-2026-42502](https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-42502) / [GO-2026-5027](https://pkg.go.dev/vuln/GO-2026-5027) <details> <summary>More information</summary> #### Details Parsing arbitrary HTML which is then rendered using Render can result in an unexpected HTML tree. fix(deps): update module code.gitea.io/sdk/gitea to v0.25.0 (#984)
Bumping gitea SDK to version v0.25.0 Currently there is an issue when users try to use SSH to authenticate to a gitea server. The issue is already reported here #983 The problem was that `*gitea.HTTPSign` embeds `ssh.Signer` (not `ssh.AlgorithmSigner`). `httpsig v1.2.4` type-asserts the signer to `ssh.AlgorithmSigner` for RSA keys and panics because `*HTTPSign` doesn't expose `SignWithAlgorithm`. Fix: SDK v0.25.0 adds `SignWithAlgorithm` to `HTTPSign`, satisfying `ssh.AlgorithmSigner`.
